Luise Neuner

Luise Neuner was born in 1945 in Jenbach, 20 miles outside Innsbruck, Austria.
The autodidact artist works with various techniques and media such as acrylic, watercolor, oil and mixed media. Her work has been well received for many years at various exhibitions at home and abroad.
Luise is an artist with heart and soul, a very emphatic, emotional person who masterfully translates her moods on to canvas. 
The artist learned to handle colours and paints in childhood and already then found great pleasure in the creation of her still simple works. Over the course of her life, painting developed into a passion and strong force. For her, painting is the best way to capture the beauty of a moment, but also to find relaxation, strength, and inner balance.
There is not one specific guiding principle or process, Luise is characterized by her free spirit, openness, natural curiosity to explore the unknown or new. She has a talent to combine what she likes without constraints; she is one with her feelings and moods and gives them space to speak to her. Intuitively Luise creates coherent and powerful compositions full of feeling and sensitivity for color, form and perception.

The connection between her paintings and the viewer is extremely strong and profound. A painting must fit, it must "click" for the observer, just as with interpersonal relationships. 
Luise paints mainly intuitively, guided by her feeling and the dialogue with the composition and the colors on the canvas. Sometimes the beginning of her projects are planned but even then, the completion comes from within her.
Luise excels at creating cityscapes, the illusion of familiarity, of having been there. With mere lines, marks and shadows she brings world metropoles to life. 
What many do not know about her is that she always paints with soothing, quiet music, occasionally with a glass of wine. Luise then finds herself in a trance, like another sphere in which she speaks to no one. Only when she takes a break, contemplating her creation with distance, is her husband allowed to disturb her. Luise Neuner is a truly diverse painter guided by her inspirations and ideas; she embraces her own broad style without wanting to commit to one creative expression over another.  Yet with each artwork she achieves a deep and emotional connection to the moment and subject.

Luise received the "Recognition Prize" for her achievements at the PalmArtAward 2016 and a "Certificate of Excellence" in 2020.
