Caroline Micaela Hauger
"During my walks in the Festival Hall of the Alps, I intuitively engage with the landscape. I am fascinated by the interplay of light and darkness, drama and harmony, stillness and movement, photography and art".

Caroline Micaela Hauger
Caroline Micaela Hauger born in Cologne, Germany, has always lived in the canton of Zurich and is Swiss with heart and soul. She studied German language and literature, journalism and art history at the University of Zurich and completed a year abroad at the Sorbonne in Paris.
Caroline is a passionate alpinist and pilot. She enjoys the highest possible points to create her stunning and powerful photographs. Shot from solid ground or from the air, she captures the essence of being high up, in the presence of incredible beauty and grandeur.
On airy ridges and steep rock faces, she brings the soul and magic of the alpine world to the surface, transforming a fleeting moment into a lasting photograph. The sometimes hyper-realistically charged compositions of the Zurich-based photographer and budding private pilot are a declaration of love to the world's most beautiful skyscrapers and show people in harmony with nature: "The body, the thoughts, the soul, they climb up to the peaks and the clouds and through them into a spiritual world that we will probably never fully comprehend."
Her two favorite quotes, accompany and guide her to the most oppressive heights, "He who makes art steps out of the shadows. He who makes good art stands in the light. Art is the strongest form of individualism the world knows" Oscar Wilde; and "Every artistic achievement is a victory over human inertia" Herbert von Karajan. Her Peak Art works have been presented in selected museums, galleries and exhibitions and her portfolio speaks an aesthetic language: the treasure is landscape photography in sensual compositions - the perfect interplay of light, form and style.
"Far from civilization, nature is different" - her passion as an alpinist and pilot gives her unique access to the most spectacular places on earth. "Breathtaking landscapes are a rich source of inspiration. There is no better place than the view from above!"
For Caroline, intuition is the key to success and very often remains a mystery: how, when, why just here and now or then and there - often she doesn't know why she took the long way to a special place and it actually led her to her destination. She is a spirited, positive woman who simply has this adventure inside her. You can't do it without it. Especially in photography, the moment is crucial. In mountain photography, just like in portrait photography, it doesn't take 1000 pictures, quantity in the digital world is not what matters, that's just what it always wants us to believe. What counts is the only good picture at the right moment.
